Tennessee Kids Serve Summer Challenge

Posted Date: 6/03/24 (9:23 AM)

Collierville Schools Families -

Tennessee First Lady Maria Lee is inviting rising kindergarten through rising sixth grade students to devote a portion of their summer to serving their neighbors through the TN Kids Serve Summer Challenge from now until August 1, 2024.

To fulfill the challenge requirements, participants must complete one activity in two of the eight service categories and meet a two-hour service minimum. Top participants of the challenge will be invited to a carnival at the Tennessee Residence on September 7, 2024 hosted by Governor Bill Lee and First Lady Maria Lee.

More than 2,200 kids across the state have participated in the challenge since it began in 2019, serving a total of 7,784 hours in their communities.

The summer challenge is the perfect opportunity for kids to learn about the importance of service while keeping them engaged in fun, family-friendly activities during their summer break. To sign your child up for the challenge, visit the First Lady’s website. If you have questions, please contact tennessee.serves@tn.gov.
