About Me

My name is Lauren Feury and I am a Physical Education teacher at SyCamore Elementary School. I have a wonderful husband Matt and two fur-babies Benji and Rocko! I am from Florence, AL. I attended The University of North Alabama where I played volleyball and earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. In 2014, I moved to the Memphis area where I attended The University of Memphis and earned my second bachelor’s degree in Physical Education. This will be my third year teaching Physical Education at SyCamore Elementary.

I have always loved being physically active. Whether I am walking my dogs in the park or participating in sport activities, I truly love it all! To keep myself physically active I enjoy CrossFit and playing tennis. I am a member at the local Collierville Crossfit gym known as Crossfit Hit and Run and also play USTA tennis!

I LOVE what I do! I love teaching children the importance of being physical active and the different ways they can enjoy it. In our gym at SyCamore, I love watching the children learn and grow while using teamwork to accomplish their goals. While working together in P.E., they are also able to build strong communication skills and friendships that will last a lifetime!

I am so excited for the 2019-2020 school year and I hope you are ready to ROAR!
