We did a little erosion experiment this past week. Thanks to Mr. Salyer for catching my labeling mix up halfway through. Oops!

hey fourth graders so this week we posted on our mersman activities I sent the link to some simple erosion experiments that you could do for our Russian review and I realize some of you may not turn it on for two I need to try it out and see if you don't get an opportunity the girls and I thought we would demonstrate one and see if we can find out which type water wind or glaciers would cause the most erosion so what we've done is we've got some potting soil and we got three different little boxes and if you'll remember when you do an experiment you always make sure that everything about your experiment stays the same you control every aspect except the park what you want to find out about so our variable is going to be one source we used to try to create a rosian if you remember we did this with cookies a long time ago so we're going to start first with the glacier Freeze ice cubes so the girls are going to grab a knife two guys a girl and they're going to send me like a glacier going down the side of a mountain go ahead switch it in there don't touch it with your hands and they're going to do it to em see if they notice good what happened the next straight to sleep is water erosion by water so Hadley if you'll start forging can do some tubes Brits and we'll see what's happening keep going I'm going to go okay I feel let Georgia have a turn to try it definitely Phantom erosion is best we could I've always try to put the same amount in each one how to mix up alright are we seeing a little beverages that carrying away got to keep it in there a little bit I just a little bit more okay and the final one which one are we going to use to simulate wind what are we going to use girl Hyster also go ahead you like the wind carrying away some of the sediment I give Georgia turn all right so you can stop now Jordan you better change and all of them which one did the most created the most erosion which one will win this case there's a lot at the bottom your right so you guys you have a chance to try it out let me know what happens in your experiment which one causes the most erosion hope you guys have a great week
